| Adaptive re-use of the entire site and building represents the ultimate in sustainability—the entire building is essentially "recycled." Historic construction materials such as original wood paneling—no longer required in one area were retained and re-used in alternate locations, thus minimizing the purchase and use of natural resources. High efficiency, fluorescent lighting is used throughout for energy savings but with careful selection of lumens and color temperature to minimize eye fatigue and promote employee comfort. Daylighting is extensively utilized throughout the building with multiple types of fenestration: exterior, interior, tinted, insulated, full height and clerestory. |
